Revival clothing and shoes are the very best in modern day reproductions and reinterpretations of 1920s, 1930s and 1940s fashions. Beautiful tailoring, flattering lines and amazing looks.

Forget moth balled old second hand shops, at Revival Retro you’ll find an amazing choice of vintage style dresses and shoes that are new, never worn and available in a range of sizes (including plus sizes). Revival Retro is the London stockist of Stop Staring dresses, Freddies of Pinewood, Trashy Diva, What Katie Did, ReMix Vintage Shoes & other top names in vintage inspired design.

Revival was born out of a personal hobby; swing dancing. There are classes all over London and a huge community of people who love these partner dances from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.

“Revival started because I became frustrated after several unsuccessful attempts to order swing shoes over the internet. It’s so important to find shoes that fit and are comfortable. So, I took matters into my own hands! Aris Allen swing dance shoes became available in London to try before you buy.”

The company is independently owned by Rowena Howie. You will find me at all kinds of swing dance classes and retro events around London. I’ll be the one mucking about on the dance floor, often not getting it right but having lots of fun in the process. I also like fabulous parties, swinging from the chandeliers and dressing up.

Another qualm was how to find a stunning retro outfit that looks great, has a definite 30s/40s style, but won’t fall apart when you wear it or try to clean it? Why is all gorgeous vintage clothing too small for me? How do you avoid yet another unsuccessful foray into moth-balled cupboards at the back of smelly second-hand shops, sifting through endless eighties sequined jumpsuits labelled as ‘vintage’?

If you share any of these frustrations then get ready, because Revival just became your new best friend!

Who can resist the glamour and decadence of a beautiful bygone era? The Roaring twenties, The Golden Age of Hollywood, The Swing Era. We love the 1920s, 30s and 1940s. The 1950s and 1960s too. We love the music, the fashions, the films and the dancing. Revival is for all those who share this passion.
